Quantity or Quality: Why not both?

I often get asked the question of quantity vs. quality when it comes to content or social media, and my reply is always ‘why not both?’ The idea to post 3 or 4 times a day and to find the mechanics to deliver something valuable often gets in the way of business well done.

You can only stay on top of the consumers’ feed by doing both, compounding quantity and quality. This is when you increase sales, visibility, profitability etc. You want to be a leader in your field, right? Well in order to stay one step ahead of your competition, you are going to have to beat them in content quantity, that’s for sure, but what you’re saying has to be valid and worth reading as well.

Whenever I respond ‘why not both?’ to the question of quantity vs. quality, I often get responses along the lines of:

“We don’t have time.”

“I don’t think I can find that many things to say.”

“We are not that interesting.”

“We are not a young person business”

You’ve got no idea what pot of gold you are sitting on- what your DNA as a business is worth in the marketplace. I understand that generating content is tough to do, but the fact of the matter is, it is the current state of the marketplace.

Just image if all that energy used to resist change was instead invested in unleashing expertise and claiming that golden spot.
